URBAN 44

Urban 44 is a project for a three-apartment building located in the center of Ponta Delgada.

This corner building has four floors.  On the ground floor, with an entrance from the main street, in addition to the common areas of the hall and vertical access through stairs and lift, there is a two-bedroom (T2) typology apartment with a patio.

The apartment is organized around a central circulation that separates the private areas (to the left) – laundry, bathroom, a bedroom and a suite, while to the right there is the most social area of the apartment – living room and kitchen in open space. The patio can be accessed from the living room, the central circulation and the suite, which makes the spaces very fluid and in constant connection with the outdoor.

On the first floor there is another T2 apartment, with a similar spatial organization, but with a wide balcony in the social area.

The last two floors are occupied by a T3 duplex apartment. On the lower floor, you will find a hall and stairs, a laundry room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and two suites, one of them with a balcony. On the upper floor, set back from the building’s facade, there is a social bathroom, a wide living and dining room, and a kitchen that can either be an open space or be closed off by a system of panels. Additionally, this apartment features a terrace divided into two areas, one connected to the kitchen and the other one associated with the living room with a lounge overlooking the sea.

CM House

The project for the CM House started with the total demolition of the existing house. However, the development is conditioned by the height and alignment of the adjacent buildings and by the harmony in the overall image of the street facades. Therefore, we propose a house that combines traditional volumetry with a contemporary aesthetic through the materials and colors selected.

It is a narrow, but quite deep lot that culminates in a garden with a raised area overlooking the sea. Thus, on the ground floor, the house was developed from a central hallway that gives access to the garage and stairs and, on the other, to the bedroom/office, the bathroom and to the pantry. This hallway ends in a large living and dining room, with an open pace kitchen and an outdoor connection that is organized in two platforms. The first, at the same level as the interior, works as an extension of the room with an outdoor living area and an outdoor support pantry. The second, higher, includes a garden area and a lounge overlooking the sea.

On the upper floor, facing the street, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, and on the opposite side, with a balcony overlooking the garden, there is also a suite.

CML House

CML House is a four-bedroom (T4) house project in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel. It is a single-floor house with sloped roof, with all the interior spaces connected with the outdoor area.

The spatial organization was defined by a central hallway that separates the access to the garage, the living room and the kitchen in open space to one side, and the bedrooms and the bathroom to the other side. At the end of this hallway, there is the master suite with a closet.

The outdoor space surround the house is divided into three areas: a lounge with a fire pit, a porch with a barbecue and dining area, and a garden.

The main purposes of this project were the creation of spaces with fluidity and amplitude, and the design of a bright house with personality, which materialized in the incorporation of large windows and in the colors and finishes that were selected.

LUXURY GLAMPLING

The opportunity to enjoy Nature with all the comfort and glamour was the motto for the development of this project that aims to implement the concept of Glamping on a plot of land in a lot of land located in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.

The project has main building that houses the functional areas, as well as the reception, a bar and a restaurant on the upper floor.

Ten accommodation units are distributed around the land and each of them includes a bedroom, a bathroom, and a private outdoor space with jacuzzi and fireplace. The privacy between accommodations is guaranteed by the difference in terrain elevations and by the abundant surrounding vegetation

Water is also constantly present with courses that run along the whole property and head to an organic pool developed on three levels.

Indoor parking, orchards and a pool bar are some of the amenities that were though of this project , where the aim to create a space that provides a unique stay.
