UAID Arquitetos is an architecture firm that offers consultancy, project, and monitoring work in the areas of Urbanism, Architecture, Interiors and Design.

It is composed of professionals who idealize, through collaborative work, projects in which the main focus is people, their experiences and respect for the landscape and the principles of sustainability.

The firm develops multidisciplinary work of research, experimentation, and innovation of the means of production, based on careful analysis of the different location contexts, of the form, function, and scale of each project.

It is through this approach that it seeks to find the appropriate solutions for each individual project and provide our customers with a personalized and innovative experience in the process of thinking, visualizing, and living the materialization of an idea.

UAID Arquitetos also works in collaboration with engineering teams and on partnerships with furniture companies, which allows the development of integrated projects and provide full support in their various stages.

Carlos Santos | Architect

Born in Coimbra, Carlos Santos grew up on the island of São Miguel. He graduated in Architecture at the Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa (FAUL), in 2014, with the Frederico George Merit Award. He also attended the Brest State Technical University (Belarus) and the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil).

Carlos Santos has a vast experience in architectural projects in the private, public and institutional sectors, which he conducted in Barcelona, Lisbon and the Azores.

In 2018, he founded UAID Arquitetos studio with the goal of developing creative and innovative work that contributes to the areas of urban design, public space, architecture and design.

Joana Mateus Ferreira | Architect

Born in Lisbon, Joana Mateus graduated at the Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de

Lisboa (FAUL), in 2014.  She also attended Brest State Technical University (Belarus) and the University of Liège (Belgium).

Joana Mateus Ferreira’s professional path began with the practice of architecture and later on she developed expertise in the sector of Interior Architecture and Design, in which she acquired a vast knowledge in the housing, as well as commercial / services spaces.

In 2020, she joined UAID Arquitetos firm, performing a crucial role in developing architecture projects as well as in the creation of innovative and unique interior solutions.
